Hyatt wins BTN hotel survey

Hyatt, Hilton and Marriott - in that order - took the top three spots in BTN's corporate travel buyer survey of traditional hotel partners

Sep 25, 2023

BTN in August and September asked business travel managers and travel procurement professionals to rate their preferred global hotel brand portfolio holders on product, service and relationship strength over the last 12 months.

Key takeaways

  • Hyatt’s first place win results from having the highest average rating across all scores. The hotel company showed particular strength in product quality and service consistency;
  • Hyatt’s scores for sales empowerment and partnership approach to corporate travel were other highlights for the brand, as the pandemic taught the company how to be more creative and tune into what the client really needs and how to look at what a specific company is bringing to the table.
  • BTN’s 2023 hotel program trend survey showed corporate buyers will continue to look for a variety of rate structures going in to 2024, with leisure travel still going strong and pushing occupancy. To combat that situation, more corporate buyers are looking to consolidate with fewer suppliers.
