Platform tourism gaining ground in Europe

Tourists are increasingly booking short stays in Europe through Airbnb, Booking, Expedia Group or TripAdvisor

In 2022, travelers booked around 547 million nights in tourist accommodation online, over one and a half times the 2021 number and 7% more than in 2019, the last year before the pandemic, according to Eurostat figures published this week.
