After sharing the ordeal online, hundreds responded they had experienced a similar situation in the past with Booking.com

An Aussie has called out Booking.com on TikTok after claiming she was "screwed over" and left without accommodation while hours away from home. The booking agency is pinning the blame on the hotel, but the customer isn't buying it.

After calling Booking.com back, they asked for a refund. "They were very hesitant to give it back and we’re still waiting for the money to come through. But they have the nerve to email me to apologize on behalf of the accommodation."

Though there has been backlash against Booking.com online, some have come out and defended the platform — with a portion believing this to be a "strange" occurrence that is the hotel's fault.
