The Asian region, including Korea, has demonstrated remarkable growth in the second quarter, and Booking.com is strategically focused on driving further expansion in the Asian market, according to Chris Kim, the area manager. Kim shared this insight during the platform's media day at Lotte Hotel Seoul in Jung District, central Seoul.

Based on Booking.com's data, the primary sources of searches and bookings in Korea were from Japan, followed by Taiwan, the United States, Singapore, Germany, Australia, and Hong Kong.
In the case of Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, the number of searches for Korea compared to the same quarter the previous year saw impressive spikes of 617%, 2,162%, and 851%, respectively.
Among Korean travelers, Japan emerged as the top travel destination, followed by Thailand and Vietnam.
